Official Events are sometimes hosted in Groupchat, with the topic "Current Event". They will also often be pinned.

E​vents can range from a Gimkit Game tournament to a contest to create an animation. Events are hosted by an Event Host, marked by a special badge.

To be an Event Host, you need to have been a site member for a month. You must also have an idea for an original event that you can host. Lastly, you should have a good record with little to no instances of rule-breaking. Applications go in Groupchat under the topic "Event Host Application". The moderators will review and accept/decline applications.
